Ever heard the term "once in a blue moon?" I just learned that it means a second full moon in a calendar month. It occurs about 41 times every century and there is one coming up in the Western hemisphere on June 30.

So, learning this made me want to see when other blue moons occurred and I looked up the US Naval Academy's phases of the moon calendar.

Turns out that there was a blue moon on the night that Todd and I met, 11/30/2001!

Todd doesn't really seem to care - but I think that's pretty radical!
