I've been hearing strange noises lately. It sounds like cannons being fired near the river. I was wondering if there was some kind of Civil War reinactment going on that I didn't know about. (Which reminds me, I really want to go to one of those.)

I found out what it is yesterday. Whenever the Cincinnati Reds (baseball team) hit a homerun, fireworks go off over the stadium, which happens to be near the Ohio River. I explained this to Todd who was as perplexed as I have been.

Todd's reaction: "Well I hope they start losing because it's beginning to sound like Bahgdad over here."
